BAP Graduation 2018

29 November 2018

The year of events for BAP finished with a spectacular graduation celebration at the Monash University Caulfield Campus Pavilion.

BAP Xi Epsilon congratulated members graduating from their degrees, entering into new, exciting stages of their lives as young professionals. The graduation ceremony was also a great opportunity to welcome our brand new full members to the Chapter.

As 2018 draws to a close, BAP Xi Epsilon says a huge thank you to the Committee members of 2018 for their hard work, efforts and time put into making 2018 such an eventful, successful and enjoyable year for the members of BAP. We congratulate all members on the various achievements made throughout the year.

An evening with McGrathNicol

19 March 2018

In late March, Beta Alpha Psi, along with the Accounting Student Association at Melbourne University (ASA) were invited to McGrathNicol’s offices.  The opportunity gave our members an excellent chance to learn about the culture and work at McGrathNicol.

It was a unique evening with an initial introduction being followed by six 8-minute sessions covering the various different service lines offered. These sessions involved a run down about the details of each service line by two members of the team and provided Q&A opportunity.

The evening ended with networking where attendees had a chance to ask any further questions they may have had throughout the night as well as build connections with both McGrath staff and ASA students.

We would like to thank both McGrathNicol and ASA for allowing this collaboration to be such a resounding success.

PwC Networking Breakfast

7 March 2018

PwC’s networking and information session took place on a Wednesday morning filled with train delays. Despite this, our chapter’s BAP members persevered and had the opportunity to network with some of PwC’s recent graduates over a generous continental breakfast spread.

Held in the firm’s dynamic office spaces, PwC facilitated an interactive Q and A session to inform BAP members of the firm’s core values and mission as well as the various business lines offered.

The firm’s graduates also shared their personal experiences and hints on how to make the most of the vacationer and graduate recruitment process.

Beta Alpha Psi would like to thank Anthony Takyi from Campus Recruitment for the fantastic opportunity to gain insight into PwC's various service lines and application process.

An evening with Deloitte

1 March 2018

In early March, Beta Alpha Psi had the opportunity to attend a networking and information session at the offices of Deloitte. During the evening we had the chance to hear from two graduates Kalsha and Leanne from Auditing and Assurance.

We were fortunate enough to be able to ask questions to both graduates who shared with us their experiences, thoughts and tips on their journey in the Graduate program at Deloitte.

Further in the evening Stuart from Campus Recruitment gave insight into Deloitte and what it’s like to be part of the firm. He also shared with us helpful tips around the application process and how to best prepare ourselves.

Beta Alpha Psi would like to thank Deloitte for providing us with an amazing opportunity which allowed us to gain more insight into the firm.

An evening with EY

26 February 2018

To mark the first event of the year, Beta Alpha Psi members had the privilege of attending a networking event at the offices of Ernst & Young.

A panel of graduates from EY's various departments shared thoughtful advice and insights into the day-to-day work involved in their roles. This included Olivia Hynes from Financial Services Assurance, Matthew Merlo from the Tax department and Nicholas Yates who works in Transaction Advisory Services. The opportunity to network and ask these professionals questions was an incredibly rewarding experience.

Later in the evening Maddi Roulston, from the Campus Recruitment division, shared some invaluable knowledge about the culture of the firm as well as how to best prepare yourself for its diverse vacation and graduate opportunities.

We wish to thank EY for hosting the event and presenting the chapter with such a great opportunity
